For many of these programs, we are partnering with Hunterdon 300th to celebrate documents and artifacts in our collection. “LEAGUE OF HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF NEW JERSEY”
HCHS is hosting the League of Historical Societies of New Jersey June meeting. There will be two walking tours, a talk by HCHS board member John Allen on the relationship between geology and history and an opportunity to check out the native American exhibition in the Flemington Library with curators Dr. Greg Herman and Mark Zdepski. Cost is $30 and includes lunch. More information, including registration, will be announced soon through the League of Historical Society of New Jersey.

HCHS Administrator Dave Harding will discuss the history of downtown Ringoes. Program at the Ringoes Grange, 1101 Old York Road, Ringoes. Program is free, but registration is required through the Ringoes Grange. More information on registration coming soon.

“THE TALE OF THE MURDERER LITTLE JIM”
Just in time for Halloween! Join County Historian Emerita Stephanie Stevens as she details a grisly murder and subsequent trial, hanging and haunting in 19th Century Hunterdon County. Little Jim was the last person hung in Hunterdon. This talk will be held in the parlor of the Doric House on Main Street, Flemington. Attendance is limited and reservations will be required.
