New Jersey State Archives Imaged Collection – Hunterdon County Children of Slaves
Imaged collection of original birth certificates from the period 1804-1835. Additional birth certificates of children of Hunterdon County slaves are recorded in the Clerk’s birth and manumission book now in the custody of the Hunterdon County Historical Society in Flemington.
New Jersey State Archives Imaged Collection – Hunterdon County Slave Manumissions
Imaged collection of 56 original Hunterdon County Slave Manumissions. Over 500 acts of manumission during the period 1787-1856 are recorded in two Hunterdon County manumission books held by the Hunterdon County Historical Society in Flemington.
