HCHS Mourns the Passing of Stephanie Stevens

We extend our deepest condolences to the family and many friends of Stephanie Stevens, who passed away on Friday, July 31 at the age of 92. Stephanie’s contributions to Hunterdon County history are many: the author of nine books, a Hunterdon County Historical Society trustee for over a decade, the official Hunterdon County Historian, and former chair of the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission. She led the charge in preserving several historic sites including the Whitehouse Station library, Bowman-Stickney Museum, Cold Brook School, the Readington Museum. The list of her accomplishments just goes on and on. She is irreplaceable and will be missed by so many of us who cherish our county’s history.
