Goodspeed Histories: Bonnell, Saxton & The Vote in 1807
It’s taken me a little longer than usual to publish the next article in my series, The County House of Flemington. Partly due to research, partly due to being slowed down by pollen.
While thinking about where I was going with this series, I decided that using the term Part 1, 2, etc. was not quite suitable. So I’ve changed Part One to include Chapters 1-10, which basically treats of the 18th century history of this place.
Part Two takes me into the early 19th century, up to the Civil War. Note–I have no idea what those future chapters will be like. In the meantime, here is Part Two, Chapter 11, just in time to celebrate the passage of the 19th amendment.
