Collections 49 thru 60

Collection 49. The Ida G. Bellis Collection. This collection consists entirely of genealogical material collected and researched by Ida G. Bellis.  It is not maintained as a separate collection but has instead been co-located and interfiled into the Deats Genealogical Files.  It may be referenced and utilized with that collection, which is available in the reference room of the Deats Memorial Library.

Collection 50. The Norman C. Wittwer Collection. Collection includes part of the papers and records of Norman C. Wittwer of Tewksbury, NJ.  Records documented in the collection include Revolutionary War Pensions, township records, genealogical papers, historical notes and sketches, church records and histories, legal papers, deeds, and other miscellaneous materials.  No inclusive record dates for the collection are given.

Collection 51. The Hammond-Hart Papers.  Collection includes the papers and records of the Hammond and Hart families of Hopewell and Schooley’s Mt., NJ.  Follow link for details. – Download Inventory List –

Collection 52. The Dorothy J. Herrington Collection. Collection includes papers and records of Dorothy J. Herrington, of Kingwood, NJ.  Follow link for details. – Download Inventory List –

Collection 53. The Hauptman Trial. Collection includes a variety of materials documenting the Hauptman Trial (the Lindbergh Kidnapping Case) in Flemington, NJ.  – Download Inventory List –

Collection 54. Records of the East Amwell Bicentennial Committee.  Collection includes records and papers resulting from the activities and products of the East Amwell Township Bicentennial Committee.  Records include incorporation and other papers, maps, correspondence, the original manuscript of The History of East Amwell 1700-1800, fund raising projects, copies of original items regarding the American Revolution, and other miscellaneous materials.  No inclusive record dates for this collection are given. – Download Inventory List –

Collection 55. Cable Television Papers. Collection includes records and published material documenting the introduction of Cable Television into Hunterdon County.  Records include legal papers of incorporation and operation in New Jersey, principally Raritan Township; they relate primarily to Cable Communications, Inc. and Storer Cable, Inc.  Also included are Hunterdon County Democrat papers and clippings regarding cable television, as well as documentation from various other newspapers.  Records date primarily from 1978-1980. – Download Inventory List –

Collection 60. The Flemington Auction Market Collection. Collection includes records and other materials from the Flemington Auction Market, including letters, booklets, advertisements, Cut Glass items, a photograph file, and a story board. No inclusive record dates for this collection are given.
