Collection No. 185: Stangl Stencils (1950-1995). This collection consists of a number of stencils used in decorating pottery at the Stangl factory in the early 1950s. Many of the stencils were based on cartoons and drawings in the New Yorker magazine, but these apparently were never put into production.
